CCTV News:On July 26th, the culvert gate of Daijiahu in Bangang Town, Yingshang County, Anhui Province began to leak water. This is a sluice of irrigation and drainage station connecting the flood storage area of Jiangtang Lake and Daijiahu depression, which is related to the safety of 7 administrative villages and 16,000 mu of cultivated land in Daijiahu depression. Hundreds of large-scale machinery were mobilized locally, and more than 2,000 soldiers and civilians were organized for continuous rescue. As of last night (27th), the danger of water leakage has eased, and the scene is still being rescued, and more than 8,000 people who have been transferred have been properly resettled.

On the afternoon of the 27th, the reporter saw in the dangerous Daijiahu culvert that the Huaihe River water in the flood storage area of Jiangtang Lake was constantly flowing into the depression of Daijiahu Basin through the leaking culvert, and some low-lying farmland had already entered the water, and the damaged gate was completely submerged. The rescue officers and soldiers transferred underwater sonar to find out the danger and make precise policies.
Due to the rapid flow of water, a single sandbag thrown into the water was quickly washed away. After on-site consultation with water conservancy experts, a rescue plan was formulated. At the water inlet of culvert, sandbags are put into the reinforced iron cage and put into the water with a large crane for plugging. On the other side of the dike, 95 excavators and 58 bulldozers were mobilized to build a 600-meter-long cofferdam at the outlet to prevent flood overflow. As of 6: 00 pm on the 27th, after continuous fighting, the water output of culverts has been reduced, but the danger of water leakage has not been controlled, and on-site machinery and personnel are still stepping up emergency rescue.

The reporter saw in the temporary resettlement site of Chuigang Township Health Center in Yingshang County that 82 people were centrally resettled here, and every three people had a room. In addition to the free supply of mineral water, instant noodles and other necessities, the resettlement site would also provide epidemic prevention and health services.
