Since the summer, Dazhou has entered a period of high flood incidence. From July 1 ST to 4 th, the Qujiang River Basin in Dazhou experienced heavy rains and local heavy rains, and Wanyuan City, Quxian County, Xuanhan County and Dachuan District in Dazhou were affected to varying degrees.

At 1 o’clock in the morning of July 2, with a thunder, heavy rain fell in many places in Dazhou. In less than 5 hours, the river water level in Zhuyu Town skyrocketed, and the street near Zhuyu Middle School was completely submerged. The highest water level in the store exceeded 3 meters.

According to reports, through the scientific dispatch and overall command of Dazhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, public security, fire protection, emergency, water affairs and other departments have fully participated and cooperated. Up to now, 13,963 people in the city have been evacuated and 2,573 people have been resettled.
Dazhou has a well-developed river network. Besides Bahe River, Zhouhe River and Qujiang River, there are 3 key rivers, 8 key hydropower stations and 509 reservoirs, which are related to 22 key flood control towns and 1443 dangerous areas of mountain torrents. Relevant local departments strengthen their duty to ensure that the pre-discharge is accurate and fine.

At noon, Dazhou geological disaster risk warning was upgraded to yellow. It is precisely because of the pre-judgment instructions that several large and medium-sized hydropower stations had reserved 265 million cubic meters of flood control storage capacity before the arrival of the first flood peak on July 3, which played an important role in reducing the losses in the lower reaches of the Qujiang River. In order to ensure the production and life of the affected people, Dazhou issued the Implementation Opinions on Emergency Evacuation and Transfer of People Threatened by Disastrous Weather, which clarified the responsibility of "county, township, village, village and cadre households" and implemented living allowances for the people who were evacuated from emergency.
In Xianglu Village, located along the Bahe River, 201 farmers were affected by floods to varying degrees, with an area of more than 120 mu. Li Sheng, director of the village committee, and village cadres inspect every day, and organize personnel to help themselves in production while counting the disaster situation. At present, the post-disaster reconstruction of the whole village is progressing steadily.
